These four simple steps will guide you through the traditional shaving process to achieve barber-like results, while turning the shave from an obligation to an addictively fun part of the day.
Cut hair like a knife through butter & protect yourself against razor burns
Make sure to always wet your face with hot water to soften the beard and open pores. Best is to shave after a hot shower. Afterwards apply a preshave oil, cream or gel to soften the hairs and decrease resistance for your razor on the skin.
Shave closer than you've ever shaven & be comfortable while doing so
Most important is to use a good shaving cream or soap for a close and comfortable shave. Shaving soap get's you a closer shave, but can be tricky. A shaving cream is more user friendly to most. You decide which you prefer. Use one of our shaving brushes to create a beatiful, rich lather in a shaving bowl or directly on your face.
With a razor sharp blade & the proper technique
Start with heating up your blade in hot water. Without using pressure, shave with the grain of your beard. Make the weight of your razor do the work for you. For a close shave re-lather and shave carefully against the grain. Remember to take your time and don't forget to often wash the blade in hot water in the meantime for the best results.
Nourish exposed skin & relax irritated skin
After shaving rinse by splashing cold water onto the face. Afterwards pat dry using a towel. Preferably use an aftershave lotion to moisturize and cool down the skin. All our aftershave products are parabens free and contain natural oils to make you feel like a million bucks after shaving.
